ArtCraft + Photoshop usually means PhotoCraft

When people search artcraft photoshop, they are rarely looking for a licensed Adobe plugin. They want the Crafting App that sits in the Photoshop category: PhotoCraft — free, open source, early alpha, Rust.

How to read the query

ArtCraft is the brand / suite. Photoshop is the familiar job title people use as a shorthand. The product that answers that shorthand is PhotoCraft — not “ArtCraft Photoshop” as a separate SKU name.

What PhotoCraft claims (and does not)

  • Direction: layers, masks, type, and real PSD/PSB work are central to the public positioning.
  • Licensing: open source; try without a Creative Cloud subscription.
  • Maturity: early alpha. Public materials and coverage consistently stress incomplete professional parity.

  3. Test on disposable files first. Keep production work on tools you already trust.

  • Other Crafting Apps (Vector/Film/Light/Effect) are siblings, not Photoshop substitutes.
